Course Duration One Year Full-time

Leads to NFQ Level 6 QQI Award in Digital Media

This exciting course in Multimedia Production and Web Development builds on the Media and Multimedia Level 5 Certificates. The course will focus on areas of Multimedia Production, Web Authoring, Digital Imaging, 3 Dimensional Computer Graphics, Digital Video Processing to name but a few of the subjects on offer. Our extensive suite of equipment hardware, highly skilled staff and powerful post-production applications will enable students to pursue a career in the Multimedia industry.

Entry Requirements

It is desirable that applicants have a prior Level 5 qualification in the multimedia area or have relevant work experience. Applicants without an existing qualification will be required to demonstrate that they have the required aptitude and skills for this course. Since places are limited applicants will be interviewed.

Progression

One of the main aims of this course is to prepare an extensive portfolio that will help students gain entry level employment in the industry or to progress via the Higher Education Links Scheme to courses such as:

  • BA (Hons.) in Creative Digital Media – ITT Tallaght (TA022)
  • BA (Hons.) In Design In Visual Communication – IADT (DLO43)
  • BA (Hons.) In Design In Visual Communication – DIT (DT545)
  • B.Sc. in Multimedia (Hons.) – DCU (DC133)
