Course Duration One Year - Mornings Only
Leads to NFQ Level 5 QQI Award in Business Administration
This course provides intensive training in all aspects of modern office skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. It is ideally suited to those who are returning to work after an absence of a number of years. To maximise their future employability students will be trained to confidently and competently use computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Sage 50. As students of the college, learners will be provided with licences for all software for the duration of their studies.
At course completion, students will have achieved a NFQ Level 5 QQI Award in Business Administration. This is an internationally-recognised standard of competence, certifying that the holder has the knowledge and skills needed to use the most up-to-date applications efficiently and confidently in order to successfully compete in the employment market.
Entry Requirements
Open to anyone who wishes to gain confidence in using computers for personal and professional use. Since places are limited, applicants will be interviewed.
Progression
Students who successfully complete this course may apply to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business and Computer Studies in Stillorgan College of Further Education.
Alternatively, students who successfully complete this course may apply through the Higher Education Links Scheme to a range of third-level courses.

Course Cost:
In response to the cost-of-living crisis, we are implementing a significant reduction in fees for all domestic (EU, EEA, Stamp 4) students undertaking a PLC course in the upcoming academic year. All charges, excluding a nominal, non-refundable, registration charge of €50, will be waived.
