Course Duration One Year - Mornings Only

Leads to NFQ Level 5 QQI Award in Business Administration

This course provides intensive training in all aspects of modern office skills. It is ideally suited to those who are returning to work after an absence of a number of years. Using Microsoft Office Suite 2019, Adobe CC, and Windows 10, students will be trained to confidently and competently use computer software to maximise their future employability.

At course completion, students will have achieved a NFQ Level 5 QQI Award. This is an internationally recognised standard of competence, certifying that the holder has the knowledge and skills needed to use the most up-to-date applications efficiently and confidently in order to successfully compete in the twenty-first century jobs market.

Entry Requirements

Open to anyone who wishes to learn about computers. Since places are limited, applicants will be interviewed.

Progression

Students who successfully complete this course may apply to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business and Computer Studies in Stillorgan College of Further Education.

Alternatively, Students who successfully complete this course may apply through the Higher Education Links Scheme to a range of third-level courses.
